For an authentic Balinese experience, North Bali is where it’s at! And for those looking to get into nature, do some snorkeling, or just lay by the pool in peace with no hawkers, Pemuteran is a fantastic place to be. This was our 3rd time to Pemuteran, but first time in Lisette’s villa. Lisette’s villa sits on a stunning property at the end of a long local road. For those with kids, renting bikes or scooters would be recommended as the walk in the heat can be challenging for young kids. Two families shared this villa comfortably, with all 3 kids in one room and each couple in a separate bedroom. The upstairs bedroom is enclosed mainly in glass with great views but it was quite tiny, which was fine for us. Also of note, there are only bathrooms on the main floor. The downstairs bedrooms were very spacious and there was ample storage. We were treated to much wildlife include many birds, frogs in the ponds surrounding the house, lizards, and tokay. Of course, with outdoor living comes bugs, so do expect some. Dogs and chickens and cows were omnipresent on the road getting to the villa, and while walking, we did have many dogs bark at us, but none seemed threatening. It was a delight to wake up to the roosters crowing and beautiful bird songs. The kids spent hours in the gorgeous pool, and we loved lounging on the veranda, staring at the mountains and enjoying meals in the al fresco dining area. Putu was a great help to us, as he checked in most days and even walked us all the way to the beach one day. He also arranged a wonderful snorkeling trip to Menjangan Island for us (a must!). Also be sure to get to the Bio Rock for wonderful snorkeling right off the beach where they are working to save and encourage coral growth. Renting snorkel gear is ridiculously cheap and can be done next to Taman Sari Hotel, where Bio Rock is located. At the villa, Iluh graciously made us wonderful breakfasts each day and it was a huge bonus to have the breakfast included with our stay. We also enjoyed hiking up the mountain behind the villa, which gave a gorgeous view of the whole Pemuteran area. Thank you to Lisette, Iluh and Putu for an enjoyable look into Balinese life and for being gracious hosts!

Our holidays were great and the villa was a true dream. We felt like alone in the world while staying there. All the house, garden and terrasse are very tastefully decorated, well equipped and very pleasant to stay in. As for myself, I had never had such a panorama when waking up in the morning, and it took weeks to get used to Paris again. All the staff was very helpful and efficient, and contributes to make everything easy and comfortable. We have a special mention for Ulluh and her cooking, which was delightful, and better then most restaurants we tried during our journey.

I just returned from a holiday stay in Villa Betèn Bukit, and I had a marvelous time here. Firstly, the villa is located at a remote place at the end of the street, where literally nothing will break the silence. The garden is beautifully designed full of flowers, and there is a large swimming pool to cool down a bit from the bright sun. The house itself is spacious, with many Balinese details incorporated in its interior. However, the house still provides you with every comfort known in the modern Western world. Secondly, the staff is a major asset to this villa. There are gardeners, guards, a manager & a cook who will always be there for you & make sure your stay is as pleasant as comfortable. We would like to thank Iluh, the cook, & Putu, the manager, in particular as they devoted lots of time to us by cooking us some amazing meals & taking us to the beautiful places around.This brings me to the village itself, Pemuteran, which has managed to keep much of its authenticity & provides tourists with some amazing views on Java (Bali Tower), beautiful beaches (National Park & Dynasty), lots of opportunities to snorkel/dive (I highly recommend Menjangan Island) and many restaurants or small places where they serve delicious traditional food. To conclude, I had a wonderful stay here at Villa Betèn Bukit & I would definitely recommend the villa to my family & friends!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Villa Beten Bukit.

The villa itself is very pleasant, very well organized and decorated, clean and bright. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms, half outdoor, original and very pretty.
Outside, it is also beautiful: the garden is beautiful and very well maintained, the pool too, the view of the Balinese mountains unique, anyway, that happiness to relax in the green landscapes of Bali!
But what especially marked us is the kindness, the dedication, and the remarkable work of all the staff. Between Iluh, who will cook you a deluxe breakfast every morning and will cook all the Indonesian dishes (which I highly recommend) as well as European dishes; Putu, the manager, always ready to help you and help you; or Ketut who took care of picking us up at the airport and driving us to several places, they are all great, a big thank you to them all! Thanks to them, the stay is all the more magical and appreciable!

The surroundings of Pemuteran are very pleasant and authentic because little tourist, the Balinese spirit is much more present than in the south! In addition, do not be afraid to get bored because full of activities very easily accessible: snorkeling in the beautiful spot of Menjangan, trekking in Java, walks on the beaches, going out to dinner in the village, etc .. a great little corner of paradise!

In short, a big thank you to Lisette for this great week, I highly recommend!

Nous revenons tout juste d’une superbe semaine à la Villa Beten Bukit.

La villa en elle-même est très agréable à vivre, très bien organisée et décorée, propre et lumineuse. Les chambres sont spacieuses et les salles de bain, à demi extérieures, originales et très jolies.

A l’exterieur, c’est également superbe: le jardin est magnifique et très bien entretenu, la piscine aussi, la vue sur les montagnes Balinaises unique, enfin bref, que du bonheur pour se ressourcer dans les paysages verts de Bali!

Mais ce qui nous a surtout marqués c’est la gentillesse, le dévouement, et le travail remarquable de tout le staff. Entre Iluh, qui vous cuisinera un petit déjeuner de luxe tous les matins et saura aussi bien cuisiner tous les plats indonésiens (que je recommmande vivement) que les plats européens; Putu, le manager, toujours prêt a vous dépanner et a rendre service; ou encore Ketut qui s’est occupé de venir nous chercher à l’aeroport et de nous conduire à plusieurs endroits, ils sont tous formidables, un grand merci à eux tous ! Grâce à eux, le séjour est d’autant plus magique et appréciable !

Les alentours de Pemuteran sont très agréables et authentiques car peu touristiques, l’esprit balinais y est bien plus présent que dans le sud! De plus, n’ayez pas peur de vous ennuyer car pleins d’activités accessibles très facilement: snorkeling dans le magnifique spot de Menjangan, trekking à Java, balades sur les plages, sortir dîner dans le village, etc.. un formidable petit coin de paradis !

Bref, un grand merci à Lisette pour cette superbe semaine, je recommande vivement pour se ressourcer pleinement !

“We spent an amazing and relaxing week in Pemuteran. The house is ideally located and surrounded by a gorgeous garden. The staff was extremely friendly and resourceful. They made us feel at home and gave us a lot of useful tips to discover the area. While you can walk to the beach, restaurants and stores from the villa, renting scooters or bikes is a very good option to explore further. Dear Lisette,

We have just returned after 3 weeks of travel to Bali.
Your home was our favorite.
It is splendid, ultra clean, very well equipped. Everything is done to make you feel really good.
But what really touched us most was your team. Iloo is the best Bali cooker and the most efficient to store the house, while being extremely discreet to preserve our family intimacy. She taught me how to make the best Bali Nasi Goreng.
Putuh is the most charming manager, warm, smiling, he does everything to make our stay happen for the better. He really likes to get to know the guests.
The gardeners are very smiling and very kind as all the Balinese.
It was with tears in our eyes that we left the house.

Spacious Villa with a beautiful manicured Garden. We loved Pemuteran area, it’s clean beaches and friendly people. Special Thanks to Putu for organizing trips and Illuh for cooking us delicious brekkies/Lunch and or dinner. Responsive Manager. We loved our stay in a more rural/less known part of Bali. Distance to Pemuteran beach was a 25 min walk.

This was the second time we stayed here. We still love it here and we would come back again.

It is a nice private villa and the staff is amazing.
The house has a great pool and comfort rooms with a fantastic bathroom.

Moreover, the villa is perfect located when you want to go snorkling and diving. We went to menjangan island and had an amazing experience.
