Breathtaking!

December 2019

Fantastic villa, fantastic communication, fantastic staff. If you wish to relax in a remote location then this is the place. The garden is breathtaking and the villa is in great condition. Thanks a lot for some great days!

Highly recommended

December 2019

This villa is wonderful. It is really private, the gardens are beautiful and the house is a delight to the senses with the traditional design and stylish furnishings. Iluh the housekeeper was wonderfully efficient and made delicious breakfasts. Putu the Manager was very helpful at arranging scooters and trips (dive trip and ijen volcano). The diving was relaxing with clear water and minimal currents, beautiful small fish and coral. We had a boat to ourselves for our party of four. If you are going to ijen volcano you will need jackets, scarves and gloves if possible as it is cold at the top of the volcano. It is also a good idea to bring water, snacks and your passport. My two daughters did this trip and it was a real highlight. Lisette was very helpful and provided lots of helpful information and suggestions. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location

November 2019

A wonderfully located villa set at the end of a quiet village lane nestled at base of rising foothills. Beautiful gardens, refreshing swimming pool and a multitude of outdoor seating and daybeds for soaking up ambience. Putu and staff attended to our needs but respected our privacy too. Within comfortable walking distance to the beach.

Stunning villa in a Tropical paradise

October 2019

“This stunning villa really is a Tropical Paradise! My family and I were quite speechless on arrival and just blown away by the beauty of it all and how huge the garden was! Pemuteran is lovely so much calmer than anywhere in the south. Beautiful beach, plenty of places to eat, lots of snorkel opportunities and friendly people abound. Lisette arranged our transfer from Ubud area and then back again to Sanur and all worked out perfectly. We really enjoyed the scenic journey through the interior of Bali and via Munduk – felt we got a good overview of this beautiful island. The villa and its setting at the foot of the mountain is simply beautiful – We loved the pool, the wrap around veranda and all the different places you could sit around the garden – it was just dreamy. The other very special thing was how well we were looked after. Lluh is so lovely and works hard to keep everything in order and provided us with a tasty breakfast each morning ( we only had 4 nights – big regret!) Because the setting really is so idyllic we wanted to make the most of the place and opted to eat in 3 out of our 4 nights. Lluh cooked us fabulous meals and I can highly recommend the BBQ. Putu the manager was fantastic too- he can arrange anything really and he’s always at hand should you need him. Made and her son do an incredible job of maintaining the gorgeous grounds- it’s so lush and I liked that the water comes from the property’s own well rather than taking water from the village. There is a lot of environmental awareness locally. There’s an 800m track up to the road and the beach is just across from there – it is walkable, but we hired scooters which was great fun and a safe environment for my daughter (25) to get to grips with the technique. Towards the top of the track there are a few eateries and plenty of course along the road and along the beach. If you are considering a stay here at villa Beten Bukit , I urge you to do it- you won’t regret it.”

Absolutely beautiful villa, tranquil idyllic garden with a stunning view of the hills

August 2019

Absolutely beautiful villa, tranquil idyllic garden with a stunning view of the hills. The villa is at the end of a small ~800m lane, far enough from the main road that the only noises were wildlife, farm animals, and the occasional scooter, yet close enough that you’re not isolated from local amenities. Everybody we met in the village was friendly and helpful, with no one trying to give us a hard sell. There is a mass beach-clean every Wednesday evening, and a lot of local awareness of the value of protecting the marine environment, so the beach is clean and quiet despite having several restaurants and some hotels along its front, and there are loads of opportunities for diving and snorkeling. But the best thing about our stay was how well we were looked after by the friendly, helpful and unobtrusive staff. Putu the manager can arrange lifts and tours, and help with pretty much anything. Iluh the housekeeper is absolutely lovely – friendly, helpful, amazing cook, and completely took care of us. The gardeners and cleaner were also super-friendly, and everywhere was kept completely spotless. Actual luxury.

Idyllic setting

August 2019

My wife and our three teenage kids just spent five days at Villa Beten Bukit. We could easily have stayed longer. Idyllic setting and a very comfortable and clean villa. The previous reviewer left a very detailed description and I agree with all the information he gave so I won’t repeat everything. We spent a couple days diving at Reef Seen which is conveniently located to the villa. Putu arranged for some bike rentals as I wasn’t comfortable with motorbikes, though in Pemuteran I probably could have handled them. Villa guests can use the resort beach and it is very chill, a much nicer beach than I was expecting. The communication with Lisette from the outset was excellent, she arranged our transport and Putu was around when we are at the villa to take care of all our needs. This villa was a real highlight of a long trip to Indonesia, I hope we’ll have a chance to come back one day.

We spent an absolutely wonderful week at Villa Bukit! The villa is spacious and very comfortably furnished. There are so many lounge spots to relax in & around the house! The garden and pool are beautiful and the view of the mountains is spectacular. The staff is also very friendly and efficient (and Iluh is a fantastic cook). Do consider renting a scooter for driving around the area and to the beach. This is relatively cheap and not too stessfull as there is a lot less traffic on the road as for example in Ubud.

Ideal location

July 2019

Villa: This is an ideal location, being the last property at the end of the street it felt secluded. The views out the back with the mountain backdrop are simply amazing. We found it easy to walk down to local Warungs and the beach (but we visited in cool season in July). The Villa comfortably slept 7 in 3 rooms. There are two full bathrooms on the main floor, accessed through each of the two main bedrooms – those in the top floor room share one of the bathrooms. There is a toilet on the main floor behind the kitchen, so you don’t have to go through the bedrooms to access a toilet. The Villa is simply amazing: great open space on the wrap around porch, clean salt water pool, huge garden and lawn where we played cricket and football. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can cook your own meals. The Staff: Iluh manages the kitchen and keeping the house clean. We asked her to prepare a dinner for us on our arrival, which was tasty and convenient. Iluh provides a fantastic breakfast and can offer meals as needed. Putu the house manager was very responsive to any needs. We were fairly independent in organizing our own drivers and trips to the national park, so we didn’t need much help. But if needed, Putu is obviously well connected.

Local Food/Activities: *There are many local Warungs. We found Warung Bukit to be one of the best, located on the same Jl. Arjuna as the Villa – great food at fair prices. Restaurant Frangipani was overrated for what you get.
*Snorkeling can be done right off the main Permuteran beach. You can view the man assisted ‘biorock’ structures where coral grows and heaps of fish live. This is easy to access and great for younger kids and I believe better than the Menjangent Is. trip.
*If you leave early in am, you can walk up the large hills behind the villa. First head to the right to avoid the small cliffs and then pick your way up the left side. Great views. Plan to spend 90mins plus for return trip.

Fantastic hide away

July 2019,

We enjoyed this place so much, we were overwhelmed by the peace, the beautiful garden and luxury villa. The contrast with the busy south of Bali is huge.We loved the beautiful surroundings of Pemuteran and the unique spots that we discovered by motorbike. We loved the snorkling on Menjangan island, the massages and the great food prepared by Iluh. We highly recommend this villa.
